Congratulations to FitWithWendy.com client Jennifer Toro, who won the Overall Bikini Title at her inaugural NPC Bikini Competition!

The 2012 NPC MuscleContest.com Championships took place on March 10, 2012 in Torrance, California.




Many fit and athletic Bikini Competitors hit the stage that weekend. Congratulations to everyone that participated! You were all fantastic!

Inspiration: How Josh Shed Over 60 Pounds

Weight Loss - BEFORE & AFTER

Josh SHED OVER 60 POUNDS in less than 5 months. How did he do it you ask? He decided to stop making excuses for himself and contacted Wendy for help. He stopped eating frozen pizzas, processed foods, over-indulging, drinking six packs of beer all to himself, and began eating healthy fresh fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and complex carbohydrates. He also drank lots of water and green tea.

"I used to have the best nights to myself - I'd go to the grocery store and buy myself a frozen pizza and a six pack of beer and eat it all while sitting at my computer all night. I loved it. I'd sometimes do this multiple times a week!

Client Spotlight : Patty Fimreite

I've decided it's time to start putting the "spotlight" on my clients.  Their hard work pays off, and I want each and every one of them to know how proud they make me!  Patty has been taking my boot camp class consistently for over 2 years now! She shows up 5 days a week at 5:30a.m., and works her butt off!  She always pushes through every exercise with enthusiasm, and is often recognized as being the fastest!  When Patty is done with her 50 jump ropes, 10 minutes of hill sprints, lunges 'til her legs fall off, and push-ups 'til her chest collapses, she still looks at me with her beautiful *slightly exhausted* smiling face and says "what's next"? :)

"I started Code Pink right after it began....it was Code 2. I have never been very athletic and rarely worked out. Even though my husband bought me a gym membership so I would work out with him. Well...it never happened.

I heard about Code Pink through the City of Laguna Hills activities program. 5:30 AM....women only....I thought, why not try it out. During the very first session, our trainer (at the time Christina) asked what we hoped to accomplish during the session. I shared with my group that my main goal was to become stronger (as I stood there holding 3 lbs weights) and be able to stand on one foot without falling over. Everyone laughed...not at me, but at such an uncommon comment. I continued to explain that I have very poor coordination on my left side, especially my left foot. I had Polio as an infant and it unfortunately affected my left side. I have a classic "club foot" when I am tired and running has never really been easy. I was also diagnosed with MS about 14 years ago, making my muscle coordination even weaker. My goal: to be able to stand on my left foot without knocking the person next to me over and be able to hold a frying pan with one hand. "Uncommon comments", yet honest goals.

I was only able to physically do 2 days a week with 3 lb. weights. Often thinking to my self....."not sure if I can do this". With my husband supporting me all the way, I kept getting up at 4:30AM to make it to 5:30AM bootcamp. I gradually worked up to 3 days a week during Code 3 and 5 lb. weights. Adding goals along the way: try to coordinate my feet to jump rope, "fast feet" through the rings, step-ups on the bench.

Well, here I am: an Annual Pass holder, working out 5 days a week with 10 lb weights. With the encouragement of my trainer (Wendy Lucas), I am able to run 3 to 5 miles, jump rope and balance on my left foot...for a longer amount of time. I can even hold a frying pan (with food in it) with one hand...silly as it sounds. My MS flare ups have also become few and far between. I owe all this to Wendy, who is always there smiling and "pushing" us ALL to do more. Her nutrition plans and encouraging e-mails are always welcomed. The friendships that I have formed during these early morning sessions are priceless. We are all women with the same overall goal: healthy lives!

Rain or shine...I truly look forward to my morning workouts. I FEEL soooo much better after working out. I am more toned, stronger and overall in better physical shape. Still adding goals.....as Wendy challenges us more.
